About Dr. Anirban Basu
A bit about our esteemed speaker: Dr. Basu founded the Sage Policy Group in 2004. This Baltimore-based consultancy provides economic insights and policy guidance. He serves as Chief Economist for numerous organizations, including the Maryland Bankers Association. In 2022, he was inducted into The Daily Record’s Circle of Influence. As the Distinguished Economist in Residence at Goucher College, he teaches the History of Economic Thought. His academic credentials are impressive, boasting four graduate degrees, including a J.D. and a Ph.D.
